Kim loved her wedding dress, But…
Kim had purchased her beautiful Lillian West dress from Amy and Steph at White Lace and Butterflies in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. She was completely in love with it but also wanted to make bespoke changes to create the wedding dress of her dreams.
Our Wedding Dress Transformation Process
THE MODISTE’s wedding dress alterations began with ensuring Kim’s wedding dress fitted perfectly, and we then added bespoke sleeves. Most importantly, Kim told us that she has always dreamed for a full lace cape as part of her romantic wedding dress.
We set to work to meticulously hand sew our bespoke wedding lace cape to the exact position on Kim’s wedding gown. Her wedding dress lace had the most exquisite leaf design.
Kim’s Dream Weddings Dress Come True
Kim and Huss tied the knot at Hampden House, Buckinghamshire, England with photographer Drew Buckler.

MODIFY: KIM’S WEDDING DRESS JOURNEY CONTINUED
At THE MODISTE, we are equally passionate about luxury and sustainability. So we were thrilled when Kim decided to join our #MODIFY movement by asking us to create a luxury wedding dress upcycle.
Kim opted for one of our pure 100% black silk robes in our NOIR collection. The beautiful leaf design of her wedding dress lace really provided an elegant and soft touch to her billowing silk robe.
Our team took extreme care taking the lace from Kim’s wedding dress. With this, and using the offcuts that we had saved from her wedding dress alterations, Kim was even able keep her wedding dress whole and intact.
